New Natural Wildfire Erupts in Paphos
A new natural wildfire broke out Friday morning in the Paphos province. Aviation resources have been deployed to combat the fire.
According to local media reports, the fire started this morning in a remote area between the communities of Prodromi and Androlikos in the Paphos district.
Firefighting teams from the Fire Department and the Forestry Department are currently at the scene. Two fire trucks have been dispatched to support the firefighting efforts.
The fire is situated within the operational zone of the Forestry Department, and it has been reported that two aircraft have been summoned to aid in extinguishing the blaze.
Earlier in mid-June, a major fire occurred in Paphos, prompting the evacuation of five villages. Compensation is being provided to residents affected by the fire.
