Catastrohically damaged trimaran in Kato Paphos port due to rough sea conditions

A trimaran anchored in the port of Kato Paphos sustained serious damage due to strong sea turbulence observed in the region over the past few days.
According to reports, since yesterday strong winds have been blowing along the western coast of Cyprus, causing storms and intense wave activity. As a result, the vessel repeatedly struck port structures and suffered significant hull damage.
Due to the risk of flooding, a lifting crane was called in to extract the trimaran from the water. Work is currently ongoing to tow it and move it to a safe area.
The situation at the port remains under control, and the damage is being assessed.
