Electricity tariffs in Northern Cyprus are regulated by the state-owned company Kib-Tek — the sole electricity supplier in the TRNC. Prices are reviewed several times a year and depend on total consumption. Below are the current tariffs, as well as useful links for those who want to check bills or pay them online.

Up-to-date price information can be found on the Kib-Tek website. Since the data is available only in Turkish, we provide the current rates below. Prices are per 1 kilowatt-hour and effective from August 1, 2025.

0–250 kWh 4.8044 TL
251–500 kWh 9.9115 TL
501–750 kWh 10.6573 TL
751–1000 kWh 11.5519 TL
1000+ kWh 13.8069 TL

Tip: Northern Cyprus uses a progressive billing scale: the more energy you consume, the higher the rate. To save energy, turn off appliances completely, avoid leaving them on standby, and use A++ energy-efficient air conditioners.
