Road Raids in Northern Cyprus: 380 Drivers Fined, 44 Vehicles Impounded
During nationwide road checks in Northern Cyprus, police inspected 1,990 vehicles and issued reports against 380 drivers, the police press office announced.
Key violations included 184 for speeding, 11 for drunk driving, 35 for operating without road tax (circulation permit), and 13 for lack of MOT. Other offenses involved driving without a license, insurance, seatbelts, or helmets. As a result, three drivers were detained and 44 vehicles were taken off the road. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the offenders.
