Seismic Reinforcements to Be Installed in 10 More Schools in the TRNC
The Council of Ministers of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has approved the decisions made by the Earthquake and Natural Disasters Assessment and Monitoring Commission. As part of an ongoing safety enhancement program, seismic reinforcements will be installed in 10 more schools across Northern Cyprus.
The following schools will receive these important upgrades:
- Zeki Salih Primary School
- Güzelyurt Kurtuluş Secondary School
- Mehmet Boransel Primary School
- Doğan Ahmet Primary School
- Iskele Commercial Secondary School
- Hüseyin Akil School
- Agirdag Primary School
- Değirmenlik Primary School
- Atatürk Vocational High School
- Yalçın Primary School
It was previously reported that, as part of the TRNC's seismic resilience program, several schools have already undergone structural reinforcements to improve their earthquake resistance.
