Rain and locally stormy conditions expected in Northern Cyprus from January 13–19
The TRNC Meteorological Service warned in its report for the period from January 13 to 19 that the region will be affected by a deep cyclone and a frontal system during the first day, followed in subsequent days by the influence of an anticyclone and a cold air mass.
According to the forecast, tomorrow the weather will be partly and very cloudy, with showers or thundery showers expected in places. On Wednesday, partly cloudy weather with sunny intervals is expected; on Thursday, mostly clear; on Friday, partly cloudy gradually increasing to very cloudy; and on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, partly and very cloudy conditions are expected.
The maximum air temperature across the territory is forecast to range between 16–19 degrees in inland areas and along the coast. Tomorrow, temperatures are expected to drop to around 12–15 degrees.
During the first half of the period, winds will blow from the northwest and west at moderate strength, at times strengthening to strong; on Tuesday, stormy gusts are possible in some areas. On the remaining days, moderate winds from the northeast and east will prevail.
Residents are advised to take the expected precipitation and variable winds into account when planning trips and outdoor activities.
