Nearly 4,500 People Were Granted TRNC Citizenship in One Year
Between January 1 and December 28, the government of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) granted citizenship to a total of 4,431 individuals.

At the close of the year, the Council of Ministers decided to naturalize 133 people. All of them have been living in the country for an extended period and have earned the right to become full citizens.
All candidates met the specific criteria outlined in the Citizenship Law and had been awaiting this opportunity.
The decision took effect once the list of newly naturalized citizens was published in the Official Gazette.
It's worth noting that the last time the TRNC Council of Ministers granted citizenship was on November 15, when 55 individuals were naturalized.
