How often should air conditioners be cleaned in hot countries?
In countries with moderate climates, it is recommended to clean air conditioners every 3-12 months. In hot countries not less often than once in 3 months, and it is better every 6 weeks.
Dirt, fungi and parasites accumulate in split-systems and if you constantly use air-conditioner, you can imagine what gets into your lungs. Lying in a hotel in a hot country under the air conditioner, you can get sick. And it will happen not from the cooled air, but most likely from fungi and parasites.
