Rain, Thunderstorms, and Hail Expected Across Cyprus on May 2
Get ready for a wet and stormy day across Cyprus this Friday, May 2. According to the Meteorological Department of the Republic of Cyprus, moderate low-pressure conditions will dominate the region.
Skies will be partly cloudy in the morning, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms early in the day. The unsettled weather is expected to continue into the afternoon, especially in mountainous areas, the north, and inland regions. Hail is likely during storms. The sea will be slightly rough.
Daytime temperatures are expected to reach around 23°C inland and along the coast, while in the mountains, it will be cooler—around 12°C.
By evening, skies will remain partly cloudy, with the possibility of isolated showers or thunderstorms, mainly along the western, southern, and northern coastlines.
Overnight temperatures will fall to around 12°C inland, 14°C along the coasts, and just 5°C in the mountains.
The forecast for Saturday and Sunday includes partly cloudy skies with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon and particularly in mountainous and inland areas. Hail may accompany the storms once again.
Temperatures on Saturday are expected to remain steady, with a slight rise anticipated by Monday.
