A contract has been signed for the delivery of 17 fire trucks to Cyprus
According to an announcement from the Department of Forestry of the Republic of Cyprus, the contract was signed on Monday by the department head, Savvas Iezekiel, and the director of KYKON Ltd, Panayiotis Konstantinou.
The contract spans 26 months, with the vehicles being delivered in stages. The first 12 fire trucks will be delivered within 20 months, fully covered under the "Forest Fire Protection" protocol. An additional 5 trucks, funded by national resources, will be delivered within 26 months.
The procurement of these vehicles, scheduled until 2026, is expected to significantly enhance the Department of Forestry's operational capabilities in responding to and extinguishing forest fires.
