Holiday night under control: Cyprus police conducted large-scale raids

On the holiday night, Cyprus police increased patrolling across the country, paying special attention to areas with higher levels of offenses. Law enforcement carried out a series of preventive and control operations.
Over the night, more than 1,700 checks were carried out, during which 234 traffic violations were recorded. Among them were 59 cases of driving under the influence of alcohol and 5 drivers with positive results on rapid drug tests.
During the operations, the police seized 16 vehicles and arrested 8 individuals. The arrests were related to various offenses, including theft, illegal entry, intentional property damage, assault on a police officer, and possession of narcotic substances.
