They issue a pink slip card within three months from the date of application. After applying for a pink slip, you may stay in the country until they grant you a residence permit, even if your visa has expired.
There were cases when they issued a pink slip card for a very long time, even up to a year. Then you will have to get by with a paper document from the Migration Department, issued when submitting documents. Legally, it is equal to a pink slip card.
