Autumn in Northern Cyprus is a diverse and extended concept. Let's see what can be done during the off-season.

Чем заняться на Северном Кипре осенью

Early Autumn

The beginning of autumn in Northern Cyprus is generally not much different from summer—throughout September and the first half of October, daytime temperatures rarely drop below 30°C, and the sea has warmed to its maximum during the summer. So, keep swimming.

While it's still quite warm, it would be a great idea to visit water parks—they are open in Northern Cyprus. Here is a list of water parks with contact details, locations, and prices.

Cultural activities are also possible—although you can visit the attractions mentioned below at any time, many festivals take place in early autumn. For example, the Olive Festival. But it's not the only one—check out the impressive list of festivals in Northern Cyprus!

Mid Autumn

When the heat subsides but it's still warm—it's a great time to explore historical landmarks, as Northern Cyprus is rich in them. Here are just a few examples.

But let's not forget the sea. Firstly, you can still sunbathe. And since the water cools down slowly, it's a great time for diving. We've compiled a list of dive schools in Northern Cyprus for you.

In addition, autumn is a great time for other water activities like kitesurfing. The steady winds start to blow, and trying this sport is definitely worth it at one of the kite schools in Northern Cyprus.

Late Autumn

The cool weather that arrives in Northern Cyprus opens up new opportunities to explore the island. In such weather, hiking is a great option—there are plenty of beautiful places in the northern part, and we’ve compiled the main trekking routes for you.

To make your mountain hike more meaningful, visit one of the three mountain castles on the island. Walking to Buffavento even from the parking lot is quite a journey, while St. Hilarion and Kantara have paved access roads, but they also have hiking routes, for example, from the British village of Karmi and Kantara village, respectively.

For those who want to see the beauty of the island but, for various reasons, are not ready to hike, we recommend horseback riding. There are even options to see Cyprus from a bird’s-eye view—paragliding!
